Children, sockets and the RCD
At the 2021 Census, 9,549 households in DA1 had dependent children living in them, 37.6% of the district, against 28.5% across England and 36.2% across Dartford borough. Those are the homes where the questions an electrician hears are about children: are the sockets safe, should there be covers on them, what happens if something gets pushed into one. The honest answer starts with the socket. A standard UK socket has shutters over its two current-carrying holes that stay closed until the longer earth pin of a plug opens them, and Electrical Safety First says those shutters already make UK sockets generally safe, that covers are a matter of choice, and that on a faulty installation a cover will not prevent a shock. The protection that does the real work is on the fuse board. A residual current device, an RCD, compares the current going out on a circuit with the current coming back, and when some of it is leaking to earth, which is what happens when a person becomes the path, it switches the circuit off in as little as 40 milliseconds. Older boards often have no RCD at all, or one that covers only some of the circuits. An EICR records where that protection is missing and codes it, and a new consumer unit puts it on every circuit.
Census 2021 is five years old. Dependent children are those aged 0 to 15, or 16 to 18 in full-time education and living with a parent. Summed over the output areas where most postcodes are in the district; small-area counts carry ONS's disclosure-control adjustments.

DA1, ward by ward
Most of DA1 is Dartford borough: 913 of its 1,181 live postcodes, spread over 10 of the borough’s wards from Town and Newtown to Temple Hill, Bridge and Burnham. The other 268 are Crayford, which belongs to the London Borough of Bexley: 267 of the 307 postcodes in Crayford ward carry a DA1 address, and the rest of that ward is DA7, DA5 and DA6. So a landlord in Crayford answers to Bexley Council, not Dartford, though the address says Dartford. Two wards straddle the line to the south. Brent is split almost evenly, 56 postcodes here and 47 in DA2, and Wilmington, Sutton-at-Hone and Hawley has only 21 of its 169 in DA1.
For DA2 as well, and for the landlord arithmetic across the whole borough, see the Dartford page.
